>The sad news has broken that Prime Minister David Cameron’s father has died, after suffering a stroke and heart complications while on holiday in the South of France. Mr Cameron had often spoken admiringly to his father, referring to him in March as ‘a huge hero figure for me’.
It has been an emotional time for the family, coming just a matter of days after the Prime Minister’s daughter Florence was born, while he was on holiday in Cornwall with his wife Samatha. The Cameron’s also suffered the tragedy of losing their son Ivan, aged 6, in February last year. Ivan suffered from cerebal palsey and epilepsy, and required daily care. He left behind siblings Nancy and Arthur.
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg took Prime Ministers Questions today, as David Cameron flew to the South of France to be with his mother and father. The personal joys and tragedies of course come in an equally emotional and draining political context, as Mr Cameron entered Downing Street as the leader of the first ever peacetime coalition government in Britain.
Everyone connected with Virtually Naked wishes to express their deepest condolences and sympathies to the Cameron family.
